The works consist of the upgrading of an existing protected structure, Brook House, and the construction of 2no. new buildings , to provide 5 no. new 1 bedroom apartments. The approximate area of new building works is 155 sq. m. The approximate area of refurbishment to existing building is 132.5 sq. m The works to block A-Apartment 1 & 2; Complete refurbishment of the existing building, internal alterations, including new structural works, complete upgrade to existing historic fabric, subdivide into 2 no. new 1 bedroom apartments, 1 no. at ground level and 1 no. at first floor level, accessed via existing internal stairwell. The works to block B-Apartment 3 & 4; Provide new 2 storey building, to the rear of Brook house, to modern standards to provide 2 no. new 1 bedroom apartments, 1 no. at ground level and 1 no. at first floor level, accessed via external stairwell. The works to block B-Apartment 5; Provide new 1 storey building, to the rear of Brook house, to modern standards to provide 1 no. new 1 bedroom apartments, at first floor level, over concrete structure accessed via external stairwell.
