Public-safe works description

The development will consist of the construction of a new side entrance to the Church, located on the south side of the building at the position of the present confessional. The existing confessional structure is to be demolished and re-configured to form an ambulant and wheel chair accessible single storey porch with new glazed doors and screens. Additional space is to be allocated in the Nave to allow for improved circulation for safe entry and exit. Further works to include: -The upgrading of the mechanical and electrical system of the buildings and the redecoration of all spaces. -Alterations to existing Sanctuary with relocation of existing Altar, reinstatement and restoration of Existing mosaic floor at Altar Rails. -Alterations to existing single storey Sacristy Building, consisting of internal alterations along with new single storey porch to existing main entrance door to Sacristy and replacement of existing P.V.C. windows with hardwood. -The existing Plant Room to be relocated to a new detached single storey A-pitched structure to the rear of the Sacristy. This building will also accommodate a wheelchair accessible W.C. and a bunded oil storage room. The existing Oil Storage Tank to the rear of the Church will be removed. -Ground works are to include a new layout to existing Car Park to allow ·for additional 2 no. disabled Car Parking Spaces and improved Pedestrian access, diversion of existing Mains Water pipe and all ancillary site works.
