The redevelopment of Drogheda Civic Offices comprises of the renovation of a no. of protected structures, demolition of an existing building, and provision of a New Link Building to enhance connections & create a new public entrance. The proposed works are within Architectural Conservation Area No 4 - Fair Street and adjacent to Architectural Conservation Area No 1 - Bolton Square as designated in the Drogheda Borough Council Development Plan 2011-2017 (extended). The refurbishment and development of Drogheda Civic Offices shall comprise of the following: • Refurbishment of the former Council Chamber Building - 54 Fair Street (Two Storey Protected Structure ref - DB-069b & NIAH ref. no. 13618044). • Refurbishment of the Former Community Services Building - 55-56 Fair Street (Two Storey Protected Structure ref no. DB-082. NIAH ref. 13618045) to provide for office accommodation. • Refurbishment of the Three Storey Annex of The Former Sisters of Charity House. Part of Protected Structure Ref DB -086 (NIAH Ref 13618046). • Partial Refurbishment of the existing Council Office Building - 52-53 Fair Street (Single Storey Protected Structure-ref DB-069a; NIAH ref.no.13618043). • Demolition of the ‘Valhalla Building’, a glass house and adjacent structures (To the rear of 54 - 56 Fair Street). • Provision of a new infill building to the existing protected structures is also being created to link the main office building with the former Community Services Building. • All associated site development works.
