Genesys Fit-out of levels 4-7, Block C, Bonham Quay, Dock Road, Galway. Shell and Core completion of the works is covered under separate validated Commencement Notice ref: CN0055639GY. Fire Certificate Description:It is proposed that Levels 04 to 07 will be let to a single company therefore the proposed alterations are limited to level 04 to Level 7 of Block C of Bonham Quay. The proposed alterations consist of the following: - The addition of a circulation stair connecting Levels 04 to 07. This stair will be located in the floors being occupied by Genesys. - The restroom area on Level 04 will be increased to include four shower cubicles. - The four levels under this application will also be subject to an office fitout. It is noted that the shell and core fire safety certificate has each floor as a separate compartment therefore implying one tenant per floor. It is noted that under the building regulation a fire safety certificate is not required for material alterations to an office building or where a tenant is occupying a number of levels, notwithstanding it has been deemed appropriate to highlight the addition of the circulation stair to the building. This will be a feature stair which will connect all levels of the Genesys demise. It is not proposed that the stair will be used for means of escape or for fire-fighting purposes as the building is sufficient supplied with escape stairs and a fire- fighting stair. For the purposes of designing the stair i.e. fire resistance, the stair will be treated as an atrium as it penetrates compartment floors. The accommodation stair will be addressed in Sections 3 of this compliance report. A number of Fire Safety Certificates have been granted by Galway City Council for the overall Bonham Quay development (FSC Reg. Ref. No’s. FS14/19, FS161/19 and FS34/20). These previously granted Fire Safety Certificates were submitted by others and are for the shell and core of the overall Blocks B and C of the Bonham Quay development. L
