Development Description
The planning application relates to the development of the Former Fever Hospital in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. (Protected Structure Ref: RPS 02992) The development will consist of: 1) Demolition/Alteration works, both internally and externally, to the main house to accommodate the proposed layout, 2) Construction of a small lean-to extension to the southeast of the main two-storey house to house a plant room, 3) Demolition of an existing 20th-century concrete outbuilding to the north-west of the site, 4) Construction of a new single-storey structure to the north-west of the site to provide ancillary accommodation to the main house (4.4m high), 5) Minor alteration works to an existing modern outbuilding together with all associated site development works. 6) All other associated landscaping and ancillary site works. The planning application may be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy at the offices of the Planning Authority, County Hall, Carrigrohane Road, Cork, during its public opening hours, i.e. 9.00a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). A submission or observation in relation to the application may be made in writing to the Planning Authority on payment of the prescribed fee within the period of 5 weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the Authority of the application, and such submissions and observations will be considered by the planning authority in making a decision on the application. The planning authority may grant permission subject to or without conditions, or may refuse to grant permission.
