Development Description
Permission for development at Lidl, Moneen Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 C432, consisting of the construction of a new Discount Foodstore Supermarket with ancillary off-licence sales on an extended site. The proposed development comprises: 1) The demolition of existing single storey Discount Foodstore (with ancillary off-licence use) measuring c. 1,854 sqm gross floor space with a net retail sales area of c. 1,276 sqm; 2) The construction of a part single part two storey Discount Foodstore Supermarket with ancillary off-licence use (with mono-pitch roof and internal mezzanine plant deck) measuring 2,451 sqm gross floor space with a net retail sales area of 1,670 sqm; 3) Redevelopment / reconfiguration and extension of existing site layout including provision of car and cycle parking, hard and soft landscaping; 4) Relocation of vehicular access on Leisure Point / Barcastle Link Road (L-17279-0) incorporating raised junction detail, modification of ramped pedestrian access to Link Road and raised crossing of Link Road roundabout arm, and relocation of Moneen Road pedestrian access; and, 5) Provision and renewal of boundary treatments, free standing and building mounted signage, trolley bay enclosure, refrigeration and air conditioning plant and equipment and compound, electricity sub-station, public lighting, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, roof mounted solar panels, modification of existing drainage, utility and services infrastructure network (including diversions) and connections, waste storage facilities, and all other associated and ancillary development and works above and below ground level.
