John and Diane Moran are applying for planning permission for; (i) the demolition of 21 m² non-original single storey extension with chimney, and boiler room to existing single storey three bedroom traditional bungalow, garden walls, a shed, a 81 m² hayshed, and 45 m² existing derelict stone dwelling to provide for; (ii) the construction of a new 147.7 m² single-storey, pitched roof, residential extension comprising an additional bedroom and updated living areas to the existing bungalow; (iii) new 65.3 m² single storey pitched roof garage; and (iv) the provision of a 60 m² single storey, part pitched roof, part flat roof, one bedroom ‘granny flat’ inclusive of a chimney, a rooflight, and an adjoining 8.2 m² garden storage room; (v) the provision of a new paved driveway; and, (vi) all ancillary engineering and landscaping works, inclusive of WWTS, necessary to facilitate the development. The proposal will result in a 4-bedroom dwelling, garage, and ancillary (‘granny flat’), accessed from the existing access all at Corratanvalley, Breaghwy, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 YC84. The planning application may be inspected, or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the offices of the planning authority during its public opening hours. A submission or observation in relation to the application may be made in writing to the planning authority on payment of the prescribed fee, €20, within the period of 5 weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the authority of the application and such submissions or observations will be considered by the planning authority in making a decision on the application. The planning authority may grant permission subject to or without conditions, or may refuse to grant permission.
