Remedial works to existing design to include the following works; • Incorporate windows suitable for escape at ground floor level and remove protected entrance halls at ground and second floor; • Relocating the walls of the protected entrance hall at first floor; • Provide a new smoke vent to the top of the staircase at roof level; and • Reduce the fire rating of the wall between the stair and the lobby at ground, first and second floors from 60 minutes to 30 minutes.
