Development works under this commencement notice will form the first phase of a two-phase delivery of housing units referred to as Phase 1A and Phase 1B. Phase 1A includes the construction of 98nr. dwelling units consisting of 42nr. terraced houses and 56nr. apartment / duplex apartment units at the former Devoy Barracks, John Devoy Road, Naas, Co. Kildare. All houses are provided within Blocks 1-9 and all duplexes within Blocks E, F, G H and J. The blocks range in height from 2-4 storeys. Ancillary site development works include 3 no. ESB sub-stations, bike stores, bin stores, plant rooms, public lighting & foul and surface water drainage; demolition of an existing single storey structure of c. 10.7sq.m on the eastern boundary of the site; internal roads & footpaths; surface car parking and EV charging; site landscaping including children’s play area, wetlands/SUDs features, and boundary treatments. The full reduced earthworks dig, primary below ground drainage infrastructure, attenuation tanks and ESB Substation for the overall site area, i.e. for both phase 1A and phase 1B, will be completed in Phase 1A.
