Housing commencement notices — Dublin

Development consisting of a change of use of existing Ground, First and Second Floor levels of Numbers 42 & 43 Harrington Street, from 17 no. single room flats, back to 2 no. individual, single occupancy family dwelling Houses. The works will consist of: (a) No. 42 Harrington Street: Restoration works to the ground, first and second floor levels of No. 42 consisting of redecoration works, removal of non-original internal lobbies at all levels, forming a new external door opening to the rear of the building on ground floor level, the replacement of non-original WC sanitary fittings and the provision of new en-suite WC accommodation within the existing building, (b) No. 43 Harrington Street: Restoration works to the ground, first and second floor levels of No. 43 consisting of redecoration works, removal of non-original internal lobbies at all levels, forming a new opening to the rear of the building on ground floor level, the replacement of non-original WC sanitary fittings and the provision of new en-suite WC accommodation within the existing building, (c) The construction of a new two storey, flat roof extension to the rear/north of No. 43 Harrington Street at basement and half landing level (between ground and first floor levels). Planning Permission is also sought to construct 2no. semi-detached Mews dwellings in a separate three storey block to the rear/north of the applicant site. The mews houses will have barrel vaulted roofs and enclosed off-street car-parking, accessed off the laneway off Grantham Place, together with all associated siteworks, including replacement of existing tarmac parking area to rear of No. 42 & 43 Harrington Street with landscaped domestic gardens serving both the proposed mews houses and the houses on Harrington Street. No. 42 and No. 43 Harrington Street are both listed as protected structures in the Record of Protected Structures in the Dublin City Council Development Plan 2011-2017
