The application for Planning permission consists of the demolition/removal of existing accommodation structure (c. 60 sq m), and construction of a one-storey structure located between the existing Search and Rescue (SAR) Hangars 3 and 4. The structure will be c. 374 sq m, c. 4.2 m in height, and will comprise SAR on-shift accommodation with ancillary facilities including bedrooms, kitchen, operations room, changing rooms, and storerooms. The development also comprises: plant and equipment (including generator and gas tank compounds); modifications to existing car parking provision (increase in quantum of 1 no. car parking space); bicycle parking; lighting; drainage (including provision of permeable paving and attenuation tank); fencing; hard and soft landscaping; and all associated site works above and below ground
