Development Description

The development will consist of alterations of an existing single-storey dwelling including two single-storey extensions, and re-roofing existing bathroom, including the consolidation and integration of the ruins of the original farmhouse, not a protected structure. The application seeks to renovate and a change of use of outbuildings/sheds for ancillary use of the main dwelling to include a home office/studio, bedroom and a utility room. The works include demolition of an existing single-storey boiler house, decommissioning of the existing septic tank, provision of an upgraded on-site wastewater treatment system with polishing filter and all associated landscaping. The development site is located within the curtilage of three structures listed under the Record of Monuments and Places (RMP), 1. Moy Castle in Ruins (SMR No: CL023-027002), 2. The Bawn Wall associated with Moy Castle in Ruins (SMR No: CL023-027001) 3. The spring well associated with Moy Castle in Ruins (SMR No: CL023-27003). All buildings on the site are single storey.
