Development Description
Permission for extensions and modifications to the existing Kinsale Hotel & Spa consisting of; A) the construction of 17 self-contained holiday home units, B) a four-storey extension to the existing hotel building to provide 35 no. additional bedrooms with the provision of plant to roof level, C) alterations and extension to the existing reception area, construction of a restaurant terrace on ground floor and a new lobby area on the ground/lower ground floor level, D) extension to the existing spa facility at lower ground floor level, E) addition of a new multi-function room with kitchen and ancillary stores/facilities at lower ground floor level, F) addition of 45 no. car parking spaces, G) partial demolition and alterations to the façade of the existing hotel including changes to existing openings/windows, H) decommissioning of the existing wastewater treatment plant and installation of a new wastewater treatment plant and infiltration areas; I) all associated site development works including lighting, footpath, drainage, cycle parking, landscaping/amenity areas. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been submitted to the planning authority with the application.
