Maxol Limited intends to apply for permission for development to construct a new conveyor and valet car-wash facility (totalling 1,091 sq m Gross Floor Space), all at a site of approximately 0.56 hectares located in the townland of Miles, Clonakilty Maxol Services Station and former John Crowley Clonakilty Service Station, corner of Mayor’s Walk Road (N71) and Skibbereen/Western Road (N71/R880), Clonakilty, County Cork. The proposed development will consist of: • Incorporation of redundant services station lands (former John Crowley Clonakilty Service Station) into the overall Clonakilty Maxol Service Station services, facilities, activities and operations; • Decommissioning of the redundant services station’s associated underground infrastructure (incl. storage tanks) and the demolition of redundant facilities and structures/buildings totalling (265 sq m Gross Floor Space) comprising the forecourt canopy, 2 no. store buildings (17 sq m and 18 sq m respectively), services station shop (148 sq m), and double bay service garage (82 sq m); and • Expansion of the overall Clonakilty Maxol Services Station services, facilities, activities and operations by decommissioning and removal of the existing Maxol automatic roll-over car and lance wash facilities (88 sq m), removal of the existing Maxol service bay area and equipment, construction of a new conveyor and valet car-wash facility (totalling 1,091 sq m Gross Floor Space) to include dedicated vehicle circulation route, car wash conveyor area (167.3 sq m), plant area (108.5 sq m) and valet area (799.5 sq m) areas, and a new external service bay area.
