The following requirements of the Council’s Conservation Division shall be complied with; c) In advance of work commencing on site, the applicant shall submit the following information for the written agreement of the CO: i. Samples of the proposed external materials for the garden room, ensuring that they would be sympathetic to the special architectural character of the Protected Structure. ii. A method statement, prepared by a structural engineer with proven experience in working with historic stone walls, outlining mitigating measures protecting the wall against vibration and a methodology for any required repairs following the work to the substructure, as well as previous examples of where this method of foundation construction has been successfully used in close proximity to an historic boundary wall.
