We, Malahide Dublin Properties Limited, intend to apply for permission for development at this site, Hilton Dublin Airport Hotel, Malahide Road, Northern Cross, Dublin 17, D17 Y924. The development will consist of internal alterations to the existing hotel, including: Reconfiguration of the existing ground floor to provide refurbished hotel facilities, including reception area, gym, café, co-working zone, lounge and dining areas. Alterations to existing gym, office and toilet facilities at first-floor level to provide 5 no. additional guest bedrooms. Reconfiguration of existing guest bedrooms at second to fifth floor levels to provide 4 no. additional guest bedrooms. The development will also consist of external alterations to the east and south elevations, comprising: Removal of existing high-level signage and branding logos, vinyl signage and canopy signage. Provision of new hotel signage and branding, signage banners and signage plaques. Alterations to the ground floor façade, including the relocation and upgrade of the main hotel entrance, provision of a new entrance canopy and awnings, outdoor seating and a new café service hatch. The development will also include alterations to the existing parking and landscaping areas to the front (south-east) of the hotel, including the replacement of existing signage totems with new signage totems, provision of new hard and soft landscaping, reduction of car parking spaces to allow for taxi and shuttle pick-up and drop-off, provision of bicycle parking, and all associated site development works. The proposed development will result in an increase in guest bedrooms from 179 no. bedrooms to 188 no. bedrooms.
