Removal of a 2.1m high brickwork exterior yard wall and its…
The proposed development consists of the removal of a 2.1m high brickwork exterior yard wall and its replacement with a new 8 m² single storey entrance porch featuring a low brickwork planter to match the existing brickwork of the house, contemporary aluminium-clad glazing, and a low-profile flat roof finished in aluminium to match the new windows. The finished parapet height of the porch will be 2.8 meters. The porch will be located on the northern elevation of the existing house within the boundary line of the property. It will serve as the primary entrance to the house, and the existing entrance on the western elevation will be reconfigured into a window. An existing clerestory window on the northern elevation will be removed; the opening will be made good with a brickwork finish to match the existing. Works will also include the removal of steel railings and steel gates along the northern and eastern boundaries of the site and the associated siteworks including a new 7.5 m² paved patio linking the existing off-street parking space to the new porch entrance. The property is not a protected structure, and it is not located within an Architectural Conservation Area (ACA).
