Development Description
Permission for development which consists of: permission is sought by the Board of Management Coláiste Iognáid at Coláiste Iognáid, Sea Road, Galway City. The development consists of (1) Permission to replace an existing grassed play area and parking area to the rear of the school campus with the construction of a synthetic pitch consisting of a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), with 5 metre high ballstop netting, 2.4m high perimeter fencing. (2) Permission for redistribution and upgrading of 30 no. existing on campus car parking spaces, to a new delineated car parking area located to the east of the proposed MUGA pitch, (3) Permission for shared surface driveway, nature based on-site surface water drainage arrangements, together with all associated landscaping, footpaths, site works and services. (4) Retention permission is also sought for 2 no. metal security gates located along Sea Road, adjoining Protected Structures RPS No. 9101 (St. Ignatius' Church) and RPS No. 9120 (Jesuit School) respectively
