The development will consist of amendments to the approved Primary Care Centre permitted under application Pln Ref 21/2211 and previously amended under Pln Ref. 24/60146. The Primary Care Centre is part of a wider site development proposal previously permitted under Pln Ref 17/1618; ABP-309753-21. The proposed changes will enable the Primary Care Centre to meet the expanded area and specifications of the healthcare service facilities sought by the HSE. The total site area extends to 10,452.69 m². The proposed development includes: replacement of two car parking spaces with two ambulance parking spaces to create a new Ambulance Hub at the approved Primary Care Centre that will serve South Connemara and the Chois Fharraige Gaeltacht district; addition of 174.48 m² of floor area consolidated in a 3-storey extension on the northern side of the approved building, to the eastern edge of the permitted entrance to accommodate a dedicated space for the staff and crew of the Ambulance hub at the ground floor; and the addition of space on floors 1 and 2 of the approved building and reconfiguration of the internal layouts to facilitate additional consultation rooms and supporting areas to meet the HSE’s revised space requirements; provision of an external bin store of 18.7 m², to meet the HSE’s Waste management requirements; relocation and increased provision of bicycle parking from the approved 16 spaces to an increased total of 20 bicycle spaces
