Permission for the recommencement of an existing quarry (previously permitted under plan file ref. nos. 991028, 032378 and 03992378), together with a lateral extension of the quarry in a southerly direction over an area of c. 2.3 hectares. the development will also include: the extraction of rock by blasting within the proposed extension area to a final floor level of c. 56mod; no further extraction within the existing quarry area, which will be utilised for ancillary activities including processing, stockpiling and internal haul routes; the use of mobile processing plant (crushing and screening); the provision of a wheelwash, weighbridge and car parking area; the construction of perimeter and internal berms and improvements to surface water management measures; the provision of a concrete apron with baffle walls at the entrance to the quarry void; the continued use of an existing wastewater treatment system (permitted under planning ref. no. 2315) serving site welfare facilities; the importation of clean soil and stone in accordance with article 27 of the european union (waste directive) regulations for use in site restoration and berm construction; and all associated ancillary site works. the proposed development is within an overall application area of c. 5.2 hectares and is for a period of 30 years. the planning application will be accompanied by an environmental impact assessment report (EIAR) and a natura impact statement (NIS)
