Development Description
of the cottages and associated works as completed on site, including the retention of the existing windows, doors, rainwater goods and chimney finishes to the front elevations, in place of the replacement works required under Condition No. 3 (a–e) of the previously granted planning permission. The application seeks to retain the development as constructed, as the replacement of the existing installed materials with alternative materials as required by Condition No. 3 (a–e) would involve significant and unnecessary removal of completed works, would not materially improve the visual appearance of the terrace, and is not considered feasible or proportionate having regard to the extent of works already completed on site. The development relates to the previously permitted retention and completion of cottages Nos. 02–13 and 15–18, together with associated extensions and site works, forming part of the terrace of cottages adjoining Protected Structure No. 19 Fairview Cottages (RPS Ref. B22-21).
