The development consists of a new children’s hospice, which will provide specialist palliative day and in-patient services, respite, and end-of-life care. The building will consist of day rooms, shared therapies including a hydrotherapy suite, 8 no. inpatient bedrooms, 4 no. family overnight bedrooms, associated ancillary areas, staff offices, dining room, contemplation room and family gathering room, along with plant, waste, and storage areas. The proposed building is primarily single storey with part two storey to the front of the building. The development will consist of a new vehicular entrance and pedestrian access routes, landscaped therapy gardens, 43 vehicular parking spaces, bicycle stand, designated external services area, ESB substation, renewable energy sources, and plant at roof level, new connection to public sewer and all ancillary site development works.
