Development Description
The development will consist/consists of: (i) The construction of a new two-storey building extension, consisting of a new SEN Unit, 4no. specialist classrooms, 2no. SET Rooms and a General Purpose Hall. (Total Area = 2696m²). (ii) Alteration works (252m²) to the existing school building to accommodate 3no. specialist classrooms. (iii) The demolition of the existing 1959 school building (1848m²) to accommodate the new two-storey building extension. (iv) The accommodation of 60 No. Bicycle spaces, of which 30 No. are covered. (v) New proposed car parking layout comprising 53 No. car spaces, of which 4 No. disabled parking bays, vehicular and SEN dedicated set down area, including all associated site and landscaping works. (vi) The installation of 35 No. south-facing photo-voltaic panels above the one-storey extension’s roof. Any excess microgeneration will be put back into the electricity grid.
