Development Description

Development consisting of an extension to the southern elevation of Sligo University Hospital. The development will consist of; 1) alterations to the existing Out Patients Car Park, 2) provision of a new fire tender vehicular entrance from The Mall; 3)Relocation of the existing CAT Scan unit with connecting corridor at Level 3 concourse; 4) construction of an extension (4019m2) over five storeys with connections to the existing circulation routes at levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the hospital. The extension accommodation at each level will contain following; Level 2 - Staff rooms, services accommmodation and connection to existing hospital; Level 3 & 4 - New ward with 23 no. single rooms with en-suite, associated service rooms and connection to hospital concourse at level 3 and and corridor at level 4; Level 5 & 6 - for healthcare future fit out; roof top plant rooms; 5) construction of a single tier multi storey car parking area above existing parking area to the northern boundary of the hospital complex with the provision of 90 no. parking spaces; 6) all associated landscaping, site works and services. Sligo University Hospital is a Protected Structure. The proposed extension is not in immediate contact with the protected structure - CONDITION NO. 10 COMPLIED WITH
