This page connects records for one planning case. Separate permissions, amendments and phases may belong to a wider development. A notified commencement date does not confirm that building work started.

What this record establishes

Only exact linked records appear here. A missing appeal, commencement or completion entry means that evidence has not been established on this page. It does not prove that the event never happened.

Planning scale and individual notice or phase quantities remain separate. Notice quantities are not added into a development total or completion percentage.

Complete formal refusal grounds · 1 grounds · 2026-08-04

The council’s formal grounds for this decision. Planner assessment and later appeal outcomes are separate.

  1. The proposed development, by reason of the failure of the applicant to demonstrate that the proposed accommodation is required to meet the housing needs of an older person or a person with a disability and having regard to the information submitted, would not constitute ancillary accommodation of the type envisaged under Section 6.6.23 of the Cork County Development Plan 2022. The proposed development would therefore be contrary to Objectives SC 6-11 and SC 6-12 of the Cork County Development Plan 2022 and contrary to the proper planning and sustainable development of the area.
