There is a paucity of information submitted regarding the operation of the existing Wastewater Treatment Systems on site. A comprehensive report compiled by a suitably qualified person to show that the existing on site wastewater treatment systems have the capacity to treat and dispose of all wastewater generated by the existing nursing home, staff and laundry along with the proposed 4 additional bedrooms has not been supplied. Ponding was noted in the vicinity of the percolation area and it is considered that the proposed planning is premature pending the regularisation of the existing Wastewater Treatment System. No details of a Discharge Licence Waters under the Local Government Water Pollution Act 1977-1990 as amended have been supplied. The proposed development is therefore prejudicial to public health and contrary to the proper planning and sustainable development of the area.
