The development generally consists of the construction of a new single storey extension to the south east side of the existing school building, adjacent to the main entrance, comprising 2no. resource rooms, 2no. offices and an access corridor. Proposed demolition work to the existing school involves the removal of an existing office to provide for the access corridor to the new extension. A new roof will extend from the current existing roof planes resulting in the new ridge and parapet levels matching and 'tying- in' with existing levels. Alterations to the existing facade include a new window to the existing Principals office and a new glazed external doorway from the existing staff room to outside. The extension will be of masonry construction with rainscreen cladding and a built-up PVC roof. Related external works include connection to existing drainage, an entrance canopy, seating and alterations to existing paving and parking area.
