Public-safe works description

The development will consist of the construction of 51 no. houses and the conversion of Lower Tawnies Cottage and outhouses, which are protected structures, into 6 No. houses. The new houses comprise of 1 No. 4 Bed, 28 No. 3 Bed, and 22 no. 2 Bed dwellings. The works to the protected structures will comprise of the conversion of the derelict Lower Tawnies Cottage into a 3 Bed and a 2 Bed houses, and the outhouses into 4 no. 1 Bed houses and stores. The site works include a receptor cell to entomb and manage soil contaminated by Japanese Knotweed, foul and surface water drainage, a storm water attenuation chamber, upgrade of an existing pumping station, removal and replacement of existing fill, road realignment and safety works adjacent to the Gaelscoil Mhicil Ui Choileåin school, new site boundary treatments, landscaping and associated ancillary site development works.
