The Developer shall comply with the following Conservation requirements of the Planning Authority: k) The following items should be submitted for the written approval of the planning authority in advance of the works commencing: iii. Detailed methodology prepared by the Conservation Consultant for the careful removal of the existing concrete steps to the front entrances of Nos. 7 and 8 Charlemont Street, clarifying what historic fabric (if any) survives beneath the existing arrangement, and ensuring its protection and retention of the arch below. I recommend that the new granite steps and proposed paving slabs to the basement areas should be sourced in Ireland and sample approved by the Conservation Consultant and Conservation Officers.
