Final amendment grant dated 25 August 2026; new interface works remain distinct from parent permission 25/60096 and indicative submitted design details.
The August grant is limited to an existing transformer-compound amendment
Recorded in final amendment grant · Current amendment 26/60805 versus the earlier compound permission 25/60096
What the evidence says
The final grant dated 25 August 2026 relates solely to amendments to permission 25/60096. The described additions include an interface marshalling kiosk, approximately 50 m of 110 kV underground cable, a roughly 15 m by 1.5 m walkway and a 6.5 m high by 13 m long fire wall. Condition 1 keeps the earlier permission and effective period in force except where expressly amended. This is not a second complete transformer compound.
Current amendment 26/60805 versus the earlier compound permission 25/60096
Why it may matter — interpretation
Grid and civil teams can isolate the additional interface works from the already permitted compound.
What is not established
Construction, energisation, the earlier permission’s full conditions and any subsequent compliance designs are unverified.

The typical 110 kV trench uses separate power and communications ducts
Final amendment grant; submitted design detail remains indicative · Typical indicative trench detail received 21 May 2026; not a selected cable or installed route
What the evidence says
Drawing CLO001 TRACOM 003 shows three power ducts labelled 160 mm outer-diameter HDPE, SDR 17.6, and separate communications ducts labelled 125 mm. It calls for CBGM B bedding, compacted Clause 804 backfill, marker strips and pull ropes. Its note leaves precise specification to ESB/EirGrid. The earth-continuity duct label contains an apparent unit typo and is not silently corrected into a specification here.
Typical indicative trench detail received 21 May 2026; not a selected cable or installed route
Why it may matter — interpretation
Cable designers and duct suppliers can identify the proposed duct classes and the network-owner detail still to be confirmed.
What is not established
Final network-owner detail, cable conductor/rating, duct supplier and installed route are unverified.

The submitted control-room section identifies cavity insulation
Final amendment grant; submitted design detail remains indicative · Submitted control-building context within an amendment to the previously permitted compound
What the evidence says
The control-building drawing shows 100 mm outer blockwork, a 125 mm cavity with 80 mm Kooltherm K108 or similar approved, and a 215 mm inner leaf. Its note says elevations and dimensions are indicative and precise details remain to be determined. This attached compound drawing provides material context; the amendment’s scope does not establish a newly added control building.
Submitted control-building context within an amendment to the previously permitted compound
Why it may matter — interpretation
Envelope designers and insulation suppliers can compare the named option with later approved assemblies.
What is not established
Final insulation selection, wall performance, procurement and whether this assembly has been built are unverified.

The floor section names insulation and a radon membrane
Final amendment grant; submitted design detail remains indicative · Indicative control-room section; no added building quantity inferred
What the evidence says
The same section shows a 150 mm reinforced-concrete subfloor over 50 mm Kingspan Kooltherm K3, a Monarflex RMB 350 radon barrier/DPM, blinding and compacted hardcore. It also shows a 200 mm hollowcore ceiling with a 50 mm structural screed. These are indicative submitted compound details and do not establish a new control-building package under this amendment.
Indicative control-room section; no added building quantity inferred
Why it may matter — interpretation
Structural and waterproofing designers can check the proposed floor build-up and membrane interface against final details.
What is not established
Selected reinforcement design, membrane system, floor performance and installed assembly are unverified.

The walkway and vehicle track have distinct crushed-stone sections
Final amendment grant; submitted design detail remains indicative · Indicative track and walkway details for the compound interfaces
What the evidence says
The typical detail shows a 1.5 m walkway with minimum 150 mm crushed stone over minimum 150 mm compacted subgrade, and a separate 4 m track with minimum 100 mm crushed stone over minimum 150 mm compacted subgrade. Drainage swales are shown beside both. These typical widths are not multiplied into an unverified total surfacing quantity.
Indicative track and walkway details for the compound interfaces
Why it may matter — interpretation
Civil designers and aggregate suppliers can distinguish pedestrian and vehicle build-ups before preparing quantities.
What is not established
Final lengths, pavement calculations, aggregate selection and installed areas are unverified.

An external-lighting plan still needs separate agreement
Recorded in final amendment grant · Pre-commencement condition in the final amendment permission
What the evidence says
Condition 7 of the final amendment grant requires an external-lighting plan for written agreement before commencement. This decision does not establish the luminaire count, selected product, colour temperature or installed lighting.
Pre-commencement condition in the final amendment permission
Why it may matter — interpretation
Lighting designers can identify the missing approved scheme before specifying fittings or assessing spill.
What is not established
The agreed later lighting plan and installed equipment have not been inspected.
