For retention permission and permission for development at the former CWS Workwear site, Boland Industrial Estate, Fitz's Boreen, Old Mallow Road, Cork, T23RC99. The development for which retention permission is sought comprises the demolition of the warehouse building. (The existing site conditions comprising asphalt surfacing to the west and south of the site, the vehicular access route, entrance and associated gate, ESB substation, metal shed, existing services, and the 2.4m high palisade fencing, will remain in situ). The development for which permission is sought comprises the use and development of the site for self-storage container facility, including: Partial resurfacing of existing hard standing surface area with asphalt and compact gravel; The provision of 208 no. storage containers (comprising 10ft and 20ft units); A security office/check-in unit) (c. 13.1 sqm); A canteen unit (c. 13.1 sqm); Site lighting and CCTV; The provision of 2 no. car parking spaces and 4 no. bicycle parking spaces; Signage (display area c. 1.1 sqm) located at the entrance to the subject site; Removal of 1 no. existing container; Hard and soft landscaping; Connection to existing site services (foul and surface water drainage and water supply); and All other associated site works.
