During the course of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: a) The existing roof tiles shall be replaced with Blue Bangor slates on breathable felt with sheep’s wool insulation. Prior to re-slating, the roof timbers shall be inspected and any necessary treatment of decay or repairs carried out using treated timber splice repairs. b) Brick removed from the chimneystack shall be retained and set aside for use in repairs to the protected structure or west boundary wall. c) Where walls have been stripped of their historic plasterwork, modern plasterwork or lining boards, they shall be faithfully re-plastered with an appropriately specified lime plaster. d) The applicant shall prepare small sample areas (1x1m) of raking out, brick repairs, repointing and rendering of the chimney stacks and rear elevations to the exterior and flat plaster to the interior. The proposed render to the exterior and flat plaster to the interior and render shall be in NHL2 lime render or plaster. e) The proposed flashings to the parapet gutter shall be lead.
