for the development including; material alterations to an existing single storey Health Centre, including outhouse & water storage tank area, & change of use from Health Centre to an ambulance base serving the wider Connemara area. The refurbishment works will include fabric & energy upgrades to the building. They will further include minor localised internal amendments to the floor plan to provide for the accommodation requirements of the ambulance base. This accommodation will include the provision of an office/radio room, kitchenette, universally accessible WC, locker/changing room, seating area & ancillary storage facilities. Associated site works will also include an upgrade to the on-site wastewater treatment plant with the inclusion of a tertiary treatment system & polishing filter, the provision of a single storey ancillary building, upgrades to the existing foul water & stormwater colection systems. Other associated - site works will include 2 number bays for ambulance parking, 2 number car parking spaces & footpaths, ramps & steps to serve the requirements of the building, including universal accessibility. The site is adjacent to the the Maumturk Mountains SAC & the Maumturk Mountains NHA. It is further adiacent to Connemara Bog Complex SAC/SPA & the Twelve Bens/Garraun Complex SAC. A Natura Impact Statement will be provided with the application
