What was proposed

Planning permission is sought by Cork Diocesan Trustees Public Unlimited Company, as Trustee, on behalf of Trustees of the Diocese of Cork and Ross for the removal of the existing landscaped open space and pedestrian entrance/path accessed from Model Farm Road located within the grounds of the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, Dennehy's Cross, Model Farm Road, Cork and the construction of a three storey Diocesan Pastoral Centre which will consist of meeting rooms, offices, a large multifunctional hall, and multi-purpose spaces for prayer and reflection, along with the redesign of the existing church car park to include a new pedestrian access route, amended car parking layout and landscaping, and all associated site development site works. The proposed development consists of the carrying out of works within the curtilage of the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit which is a Protected Structure (ref. PS958).
