What was proposed
(1) change of use from existing physiotherapy clinic use to current medical centre use (2) Permission for change of use from dwelling/residential use to overall building use as a medical centre, (3) permission for change of use of existing domestic shed to medical centre use including all necessary internal and external alterations (4) the construction of a rear extension to Acorn House including all internal and external alterations, (5) alterations to existing car parking including the provision of bicycle parking, the construction of a new front boundary (in part) (6) associated signage, including all associated site development works
Refusal reasons
- The proposed development constitutes a larger-scale group medical practice and would O not be subordinate to the existing residential use of the dwelling. Section 11.5.3 of the es Limerick Development Plan 2022–2028 provides that larger-scale and group medical practices should normally be located within local, district and major Town/City Centre os zonings and should not give rise to adverse impacts in terms of car parking, traffic hazard rp or residential amenity.
